For years, the land sat quietly within the foothills north of Scottsdale, its slope tracing a pure path alongside a seasonal arroyo. The house owners held onto it, returning between the Midwest and Arizona, taking their time to know how they wished to stay right here. When building lastly started, Koss design+construct approached the venture with a transparent objective, shaping the house to sit down naturally alongside the contours of the land.

A Materials Palette Constructed for the Desert

The house makes use of a restrained mixture of uncovered, bead blasted concrete block, stucco, metallic, and glass. The supplies give the home a stable presence whereas retaining the general kind clear. A big roof overhang extends throughout the construction, serving to shield the glass from the depth of the Arizona solar.

An Entry Framed in Glass

The entry is marked by a shiny blue pivoting entrance door. From right here, a glass bridge connects the lobby with the storage and visitor areas.

This bridge is a slim strip of glass with a floating cedar ceiling that continues down the wall, forming a built-in key drop. It acts as each circulation and a visible hyperlink by the house.

Dwelling Areas Oriented to the View

The lounge is anchored by a hearth and leisure wall. Cherry veneer cabinetry is paired with oxidized metal panels, creating distinction in tone and texture.

Subsequent to it, the eating space is enclosed by flooring to ceiling glass. A 3-panel sliding door system opens on to the patio, permitting the area to increase outdoor.

A Kitchen Outlined by Line and Alignment

The kitchen continues the fabric palette with cherry veneer cupboards and quartz counter tops. A floating cedar ceiling aligns with the entry ceiling, making a constant visible line by the house.

A Plan That Separates Work and Relaxation

A full-height barn door conceals a house workplace close to the first suite, permitting it to be closed off when wanted. The structure separates areas clearly, with public areas going through the view and extra non-public features positioned additional alongside the plan.
