Perched above the village of Romhány in Hungary’s Cserhát hills, NestOff reveals how compact design can really feel open, intentional, and deeply related to nature.

Designed by architect Peter Kotek, this small-scale guesthouse balances spatial richness with environmental sensitivity. Each choice, from prefabrication to window placement, works towards one aim, creating a whole expertise in nature with out extra.

NestOff sits on a rolling hill in Cserhát, simply an hour’s drive from Budapest. Near the village, but distinctly distant, its placement rigorously frames the encompassing panorama. The constructing directs views from each the inside and terrace, shaping how visitors expertise the hills past.

Past the cabin partitions, a beneficiant larch terrace expands the residing area. From right here, visitors entry a hot-tub tub and a sauna, encouraging year-round engagement with the panorama.
